Подсоединение данного устройства к поддерживаемому прибору позволяет использовать
прибор, оснащенный беспроводной технологией Bluetooth (портативный сотовый телефон,
цифровой музыкальный проигрыватель и т. д.), для прослушивания музыки по беспроводной
связи
. Кроме того, воспользовавшись имеющимся в продаже передатчиком, поддерживающим
беспроводную технологию Bluetooth, вы можете прослушивать музыку на приборах, не
оснащенных беспроводной технологией Bluetooth. Данное устройство поддерживает стандарт
защиты содержимого SCMS-T, поэтому музыку можно прослушивать только на приборах,
оснащенных цифровой технологией Bluetooth с поддержкой SCMS-T.

Received this from Amazon at half the price of retail, which is what you have to look for in this economic environment. The unit is much smaller than I had envisioned. Plugged it in to the port on the rear of my new Pioneer VSX-1020 Receiver, followed directions to enable it, and bingo, my iPhone and iPad found it and played music flawlessly. I did have to go into Settings on the Apple devices to pair them to the adapter.
The Cons of this unit are twofold. First, the port to plug the unit into should be recessed so as to help protect the adapter from getting bumped/broken. Pioneer is aware of how fragile this is as documentation points out that you have to be careful not to bump it after installation.
Second, I have to go into Settings on the Apple devices to reestablish connection each time I want to listen to music. Don’t know if it is the fault of Apple or Pioneer, but I do know that when I get in my Acura MDX the bluetooth phone ‘just works’. I know it is just a couple of extra clicks, but every click counts. ‘Just maybe’ I’m reading to much into the lack of automatically locking onto the adapter as I do have 5 other bluetooth devices listed on my phone. Listed devices include my Garmin GPS, car, motorhome stereo, MacBook Pro and now the Pioneer so maybe I am ‘supposed’ to tell it which one to connect to.
Bottom line. I love the functionality of no wires. This device works as advertised and is recommended.

Finally got product to work with Pioneer VSX 1020. Press Reciever button on remote, then Menu button on remote, using on screen display menu down to item #4 System Setup, then menu down to e. Other setup, then menu down to 5. Paring Bluetooth Device. Use the default code 0000 then select OK. Then go to your iPhone select Settings, then General, then Bluetooth. Turn on Bluetooth then wait until devices pair. Note, after pairing, the iPhone disconnects. This is caused by setting the Receiver to Receiver mode in the first step. I thought there was something wrong until I realize I have to press the Adapter button on the remote to put the reciever in the Adapter mode before receiver and iPhone would pair again. So if you press another button to switch the reveiver mode using the remote like TV, Receiver, HDMI button etc. this will disconnect your Bluetooth connection until you press the Adapter button on the remote again. This was confusing and not documented anywhere in product manuals.
